Author Q&A ft Nollen Bradley | Guardian Unforgiven Book Tour & #Giveaway | @SDSXXTours Presents Erotic Werewolf #Thriller

Guardian Unforgiven by Nollen Bradley is on virtual book tour. The erotic werewolf thriller stops at Readeropolis today with an author interview.

Be sure to enter for a chance to win the giveaway and follow the Silver Dagger book tour (for other dates see the link at the bottom of the post).

Where do you get inspiration for your stories?
Usually something happens to me, some event gives me inspiration. Then shortly after I’ll hear a song that reminds me of what happened and it appears. I start thinking of the plot, story lines dialogue and characters.

Like with Guardian unforgiven I had an experience baling hay in a field giving me the creeps, if you know what I mean. Then I was listening to Metallica’s songs Unforgiven 1, 2 and 3. That’s when the entire story unfolded.

How did you do research for your book?
That’s a good question, most everything geographical I already knew. The story itself was pretty easy. After being a Paramedic for twelve years, you study people in unusual circumstances.

Now the werewolf part… that was just a lot of hours on the internet with some unusual conversations with the wife over what she saw on my web browser.

I’m currently doing research for a historical romance that I started and am taking a trip to South Dakota to research some things. So, travel is not out of the question. I want things to be as realistic and accurate as they possible can. Especially when it came to the erotic parts.

Do you have another profession besides writing?
I farm here in Kansas but not like I once did or in the way we once did. Writing is my full-time profession.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?
Probably the old west. I think back then things were just as complicated as they are now. But, the complications were different.

What is your next project?
Well, I am just about finished with the second book in the Guardian Unforgiven series which will be out soon.

I also hope to have the third book in the series out by March or April 2018.
As, I mentioned earlier I am working on a Historical Romance which will take me a while due to all the research that is involved.

Guardian Unforgiven
Werewolves Awakened #1
by Nollen Bradley
Genre: Erotic Werewolf Thriller
403 pages

The werewolf, most believe to be folklore or legend. For centuries, the existence of werewolves were kept secret and guarded by a warrior class of lycan descended from a fierce ancient line known as the Guardians. These Guardians, sworn to uphold the peace between the wolf and humans. But, some werewolves not satisfied with living in secrecy start lashing out, hunting and killing all with the ancient gene to push humanity into extinction.

Now, only a few descendants are left with the cursed bloodline, some don’t even know they have…

"I read the book one Saturday afternoon in about 3 1/2 hours straight. While I wanted to take a break, I found myself simply unable to put it down until reaching the end. ALL GOOD! Touché. Excellent story. Excellent plot…” Amazon Review July 4, 2017

"There are a lot of great action sequences throughout the book, and each chapter builds upon the last. The author does a great job with setting the scene and describing the characters in the story, it was like watching a movie in my head…” Amazon Review June 27, 2017

Nollen Bradley is a pen name for Bradley Noll an American author residing near Leavenworth Kansas. The married, father of two grown children is new to the published author scene even though he has been writing song lyrics, poems and short stories all of his life.

Brad grew up on a farm outside of Winchester Kansas learning the value of hard work. Following college, Brad spent twelve years as a Paramedic until his second back surgery ending his successful career where he received several letters of commendation.
Brad spent time farming in his off days feeling the everyday pressures of the weather, markets and juggling the debt that is associated with large business. All the while, continuing to write songs and preform at local venues. Following a music CD he produced named “Make Believe” with eleven of his original songs and while in the process of producing his second Album he realized his talent was more suited for writing then music.
One day it snapped and with Brad’s influences like Merle Haggard, Chris Kristofferson, Hank Jr., Metallica and most of all “The Man in Black” Johnny Cash. Brad’s mentors show as in the words from the poem 'Looking Down'
I pulled my cowboy hat down low, Drank down my last swallow,
Of Kentucky Bourbon and coke,
As the World was spinning round, I knew I have to slow it down,
Cause I’m going nowhere fast, staring at the bottom of this glass…” Nollen Bradley 2010

Embracing the concept to ask the question “Why so many lose and so few win?” Rooting for the underdog’s the longshot’s just like himself. The ones that are not supposed to make it but push and fight with everything they have and despite the odds, they still try.
Don’t let the rough exterior fool you, for inside Brad is the heart of a poet. Sometimes a tortured soul haunted by memories or questions. A helpless romantic as seen in the poem 'When We Flew'
“…Guess now, I can look back to then, How I can’t help but smile,
Through these tears that hide the pain, I think of you…  every memory remains,
But, when we flew Girl we were something to see,
Higher than one life could ever be,
we flew so high we no longer believed… so we lost those dreams,
It saddens me, until I think about, when we flew Girl, cause we were something to see…” Nollen Bradley 2011
Brad takes the experience from the sweat stinging his eyes from the heat on a hot July day in Kansas. The heartache from having to tell a parent or a child that their loved one has died and there was nothing he could do, to the struggles of trying to pursue a dream and watching it crumble in front of him. Brad has developed a style that draws on real life experiences to provide exciting yet believable story lines that captivate readers. Writing unbelievable tales with the realism of the struggles from everyday life in the painful cookie cutter suburban age.

A car turned the corner with a screeching of tires. With mechanical harmony, another creeching echoed from the opposite direction.

Siren noises combined to wreck the peacefulness and drown my father’s voice as two cars skidded face to face in front of my house. I recognized the blue and white stripes. Car doors opened and slammed. A stream of policemen armed with rifles and machine guns crashed through the garden door and spilled over our garden like insects.

My mother shrieked once. My father stood paralyzed.

I stared in growing disbelief at the bulk who loped into the garden and stopped just outside the bright range of the porch lights. The clean-shaven face, the brittle smile, were familiar to me. So was the voice.

‘Buenas noches,’ Santana said. ‘Lovely night, isn’t it?’

Even with a veneer of politeness, Santana’s voice made the hair in the back of my neck stand on end.

‘What's the meaning of this?’ my father asked, surprising me. ‘Crashing into our house, as if we were common criminals.’

Santana’s stare was cold. ‘Just doing my duty, Señor Rodriguez.’

He turned to me, smoothing out the front of my dinner jacket with his hand. ‘You're very elegant tonight,’ he said. ‘Don’t tell me, let me guess. You were at the Club Profesionales, weren’t you?’

‘Yes, we were,’ my mother said sharply, ‘and we had to leave because of some terrorists. Disgusting. And on his graduation dance night too.’ She glared at Santana.

He gave her a polite smile, more of a smirk, and turned to me.

‘Being in the building as you were, you could have planted that bomb very easily, couldn’t you?’

‘What? You think I…? No!’

‘No what?’

‘No, I couldn’t.’ My heart pounded in my chest. ‘My mother can testify to that.’

My mother had turned a chalky white and her lips were open and round like an O. She seemed at a loss for words.

Inside the Insanity that is a Writer by @JamiGrayAuthor | The Fate's Vultures Book Tour & #Giveaway | @SDSXXTours Presents Post-Apocalyptic #RomanticSuspense #RomSus

Inside the Insanity that is a Writer

As a writer, I belong to numerous discussion loops whose evil plans are to crash my in-box under the weighty heft of insightful discussions on the industry, craft and whether your cover should feature more or less skin. However, one day someone sweetly shared a link to a very insightful blog about being a writer. After picking myself up off the floor, I quickly forwarded it on to the other, like-minded individuals of my critique group, and then, because I'm mean, I made my hubby sit down and read it.
I sat on pins and needles (okay, so I basically stood over him with a blunt object) and waited for him to be swept away by the genius evident in the post.  He laughed, which was good--nice to know the warped sense of humor I married him for all those eons ago is still there--and then he looked at me with (gasp!) pity?!!! What the hell?  No, no, no, he was suppose to say, "Oh honey, now I understand why the Prankster Duo and I have to exist on unidentifiable left overs and delivery, while you sit in a dark office illuminated only by the flicker of a computer screen and why you sometimes resemble Gollum from Lord of the Rings (that's the weird little dude who glows in the dark for you non-nerds).  It all makes sense!"
Did he say that? Um, nope.  Instead his response is, "It's okay baby, I knew that when I married you and I still said 'I do'."
Seriously?? Did he not see the mad genius that exists in each writer's mind? It’s a mad babble of voices that fight for supremacy while leaving minor things like groceries, doctor appointments, eating, and basic hygiene, scrambling for solid purchase in their frenzied wake?  There's a reason a writer will stare at you with a bemused smile while their eyes keep darting off to the side in the midst of your conversation.  Really, they'd love to listen to you but it's a bit hard when the characters in your head start to get pushy and demand exclusive attention.  I know, it sounds a bit psychotic, but it's not our fault.  It's why we write!
Growing up, every book or movie that caught my attention (Star Wars, Lloyd Alexander’s The Book of Three, Susan Cooper’s The Dark Is Rising, and oh so many more) would end up being rewritten in my head. A new character would join the cast—the female bounty hunter that made Princess Leia look like a wimp, the female wizard that kept Taran the Wanderer from wandering, or the brand spanking new character that joined Bran and Will in overcoming the looming evil to wake the Old Ones—and the story would adjust accordingly, starring a character that eerily resembled, well, moi.
Eventually what transpired in my head made it to paper via an electric typewriter. Now days, my shiny desktop fruit helps me capture the worlds and characters in vivid detail for others to enjoy. On some level, I’m hoping to spark that same need to add and rewrite in my readers. If I’ve done my job right, it should work and I’ll have dragged another poor, unsuspecting soul into the maddening world of a writer.  If not? Well, then I must try again, and again…
I once read something that clicked even though it was directed at musicians. They said to make great art, you had to expose your soul, even though some things are better left safely in the dark. Those that fear exposing such darkness are constantly tormented by the fact they can almost touch the creative beast, while those who grit their teeth and reach out may burn, but the beauty of such exposure ensnares those around them.
Much like playing or creating music, writing demands a price from its creator.  Every writer uses their own experiences in some way or fashion to help put life into our characters and create believable worlds, but it's also one of the scariest things we'll ever do.
The next time you run across one of us, be gentle and understand, regardless of the genre (poetry, children's books, songwriting, screen writing, mystery, romance, etc.) published or unpublished, we are writers and it's not as simple as sitting down and typing out a string of words.  We're sharing with you something infinitely precious, so if you damage it, expect repercussions. You may find something familiar about that character we killed off in horrible ways in our next book. Yet, if you share how much you enjoyed our stories, you’ll make a writer’s week. Heck, maybe even our month.

Fate’s Vultures #1
by Jami Gray
Genre: Post-Apocalyptic Romantic Suspense

In a world gone to hell, it's hard to tell the good guys from the bad...

The world didn't end in fire and explosions, instead it collapsed slowly, like falling dominoes, an intensifying panic of disease, food shortages, wild weather and collapsing economies, until what remained of humanity battles for survival in a harsh new reality.

Charity uses lethal survival skills learned too early in her work as a 'Hound, sniffing out pivotal secrets for one of the most powerful people on the west coast. Her work is deceptive, deadly, and best performed solo, which means when she has a run-in with a member of the notorious Fate's Vultures, she has no intention of joining forces in some mockery of teamwork. The man might be sexy as hell, but she travels alone. She will accomplish her mission and she will settle a score - hopefully with the edge of her blade. But fate has other plans.

As one of Fate’s Vultures, a nomadic band of arbitrators known for their ruthless verdicts, Ruin witnesses the carnage of corruption and greed battering the remnants of humanity, and he bears the scars to prove it. Now he has a damn 'Hound showing up in suspicious circumstances, leaving every cell of his body sceptical - and painfully aroused. The woman is trouble, and Ruin has every intention of steering clear. But when they realise they have a common enemy, Charity and Ruin will have to set aside their distrust if they want to achieve their mutual goal - justice and revenge.

Sometimes, when the world's gone to hell, it's better to stick with the devil you know...
